ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released the following statement regarding Raphael Warnock’s campaign raising more money in California than in Georgia. According to a San Francisco Chronicle report:
“More than 700 city residents have donated to Sen. Warnock’s campaign against Walker, 200 more donors than the next highest federal campaign. The senator received approximately $600,000 in donations, second in total money to only Alex Padilla’s campaign to keep his Senate seat representing California.
More than 45% of those who donated to Warnock gave at least three separate times and 80 San Franciscans gave over $2,000 to his campaign, according to FEC data from Jan. 1, 2021, through June. Warnock also received $2 million in his race in 2020 from the city’s residents.”
“…Almost 75% of the money Warnock has received from San Franciscans flowed through political action committees (PACS). PACS raise money to help candidates with political expenditures and have the resources to reach a national audience and drive money and attention to close races.”
“Raphael Warnock is bought and paid for by California liberals,” said campaign spokesman Will Kiley. “Nearly 90% of all of Raphael Warnock’s campaign funding comes from out of state. When Warnock isn’t in Washington voting with Biden over 96% of the time, he is in his favorite state raising money. Raphael Warnock really is California’s third Senator.”
