ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released a statement after Joe Biden argued about the current rates of inflation in an interview with 60 Minutes. Biden dismissed inflation as being the highest in 40 years and incorrectly claimed ‘it hasn’t spiked’. Meanwhile, Raphael Warnock has continued to blindly support Biden’s agenda, voting with him over 96% of the time.
CBS correspondent Scott Pelley asked: “Mr. President, as you know, last Tuesday, the annual inflation rate came in at 8.3%. The stock market nosedived. People are shocked by their grocery bills. What can you do better and faster?”
Biden quickly told Pelley he needed to “put this in perspective” and that the inflation rate month-to-month was “up just an inch, hardly at all.”
Pelley quickly interjected: “You’re not arguing that 8.3 [percent] is good news?”
“No, I’m not saying it is good news, but it was 8.2 or 8.2 [percent] before,” Biden responded. “I mean… you’re making, make it sound like, all of a sudden, my God, it went to 8.2%.”
“It’s the highest inflation rate, Mr. President, in 40 years,” Pelley fired back.

“While Georgians struggle to make ends meet, Raphael Warnock and Joe Biden have not only failed to address inflation but continue to lie to our faces about it,” said campaign spokesman Will Kiley. “It is an objective fact that since taking office our inflation rate has skyrocketed to the highest in 40 years. Meanwhile, Raphael Warnock has voted with Joe Biden over 96% of the time and put us in this position, failing to stand up to the failed policies of this Administration. I encourage Warnock to take a moment from fundraising in San Francisco to ask everyday Georgians if they think inflation is ‘not that bad’.”
