ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released the following statement highlighting how the crisis at our southern border, exacerbated by votes taken by Raphael Warnock, is leading to record deaths from fentanyl consumption or exposure in Georgia.

According to a new study by the Georgia Department of Public Health, the number of young people who died as a result of “fentanyl-laced drug overdoses spiked last year by 800%” in comparison to the year prior to the pandemic.

“Raphael Warnock’s open border policies are letting fentanyl pour over our border and into our communities,” said campaign spokesman Will Kiley. “Warnock has done absolutely nothing to address our border crisis. Deadly fentanyl has been coming into our state and has caused fentanyl-related overdoses to spike by 800% over one year. The contrast between Herschel Walker and Raphael Warnock is clear. Herschel stands for a secure border and law and order, Warnock stands for open borders and putting our communities at risk.”
