ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released the following statement after comments resurfaced of Raphael Warnock calling on Georgians to “stand up through teachers’ unions” to stop schools from re-opening.

“Our children suffered and fell behind because politicians like Raphael Warnock put teachers’ unions first,” said campaign spokesman Will Kiley. “When the science became clear that we needed to open our schools back up, Warnock decided to let his California donors dictate what was best for Georgia. We are now seeing the lasting effects, but like the politician he is, Warnock refuses to take responsibility for his actions. When Herschel Walker is in the United States Senate, he will do what’s best for our kids, period.”
