ATLANTA – Today, Herschel Walker released a statement in response to President Biden saying Americans will have to stomach high gas prices “as long as it takes.” In July 2020, the national average price for gas was $2.17 a gallon. Last month, it hit a new record at around $5 a gallon.
“Since Joe Biden and Raphael Warnock took office, they have found a way to destroy every aspect of the American economy,” said Herschel Walker. “In just 18 months, we have gone from energy independence to energy dependence for no reason other than to appease a few radical members of their party — and at the direct expense of American workers, businesses, and consumers. Raphael Warnock voted four times to cancel the Keystone XL Pipeline, and Joe Biden just said that we need to deal with these high prices ‘as long as it takes.’ As Senator Warnock continues to enable Joe Biden, I have one question for him: are you willing to stand up to the extreme base of your party and support expanded domestic drilling including fracking and reopening the Keystone XL Pipeline?”
