ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released the following statement highlighting a few examples of Raphael Warnock’s lack of support for our military.
In 1992, Warnock advocated for a plan that would severely cut funding for our men and women in uniform. In 2011, he said from the pulpit that ‘nobody can serve God and the military,’ a disgraceful attack against soldiers who successfully do just that. Just last year, Senator Warnock voted against an amendment that would have increased funds for the Veterans Community Care Program, a program that allows our Veterans to receive the care they need through community providers when the VA cannot provide it.
“Raphael Warnock has spoken ill of and worked against our military for thirty years,” said campaign spokesman Will Kiley. “Georgia has a long and storied military tradition, with thousands of soldiers and veterans calling the Peach State home. These patriots sacrificed and risked their lives for our freedoms and Raphael Warnock continuously works against them. The U.S. military is the greatest fighting force in the world and our heroic servicemembers deserve leaders who believe it and give them the support they need.”
