ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel and Congressman Buddy Carter of Georgia’s First Congressional District released a statement highlighting Raphael Warnock’s irresponsible vote for the Inflaton Reduction Act.

“Raphael Warnock irresponsibly voted for a massive job-killing bill without reading it, and now he’s trying to hide the mess he made,” said Rep. Buddy Carter. “Provisions in the partisan and poorly named Inflation Reduction Act threaten Georgia’s biggest economic development project — a $5.54 billion EV factory near Savannah from Hyundai Motor Group that is expected to employ 8,100 – all thanks to Washington Warnock. Once again, he chose unwavering support for Joe Biden’s agenda over the best interests of Georgia’s economy. Now, he’s playing damage control by introducing a bill, which will not solve the problem that he created. Yet again, Georgians are forced to pay for his recklessness. It’s a little too late, Raphael.”

“Raphael Warnock did not read the Inflation Reduction Act, plain and simple,” said campaign spokesman Will Kiley. “Communities across Georgia are going to be hurt by his failure to serve the people. This bill is going to kill jobs and hurt hard-working families. Enough is enough.”
