ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released the following statement highlighting Raphael Warnock’s failure to keep Georgians safe and secure the U.S.-Mexico border. Since coming into office in January 2021, Raphael Warnock has consistently voted against border security and against our border patrol agents.
Warnock voted three different times against ensuring tax dollars already allocated to border security were used properly to keep Americans safe. He also voted against protecting our border patrol agents from dangerous chemicals and blocking the full enforcement of our immigration laws.
Raphael Warnock and Joe Biden’s policies have led to a drastic increase in illegal border crossings by both humans and narcotics. Atlanta alone is a major hub for drug trafficking, as many of the drugs that come from Mexico go through Atlanta before being brought to cities across the country.
“Raphael Warnock has done more for Joe Biden’s open border agenda than he has done for our heroic border patrol agents,” said spokesperson Mallory Blount. “Our southern border and our law enforcement are overwhelmed and need support. Just like Joe Biden, Raphael Warnock has completely ignored the crisis at our border and has yet to visit or hear from border patrol agents about the resources they need to do their jobs. Georgia’s junior Senator has refused to take serious action to protect this country and is putting the safety of Georgians at risk.”
