ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released the following statement following the reports that the August Consumer Price Index showed an increase of 8.3% over the last year, 11.7% in Metro-Atlanta, grocery prices are the highest since 1979, up 13.5% year over year, and average hourly earnings fell 2.8%.
“It seems only appropriate that out-of-touch Washington politicians Raphael Warnock and Joe Biden are celebrating the fact that hard-working Georgians are paying more for groceries than before they got in office,” said spokesman Will Kiley. “I’m not sure what fantasy world they live in but go to any corner of Georgia and you can find families struggling to put food on their tables. Raphael Warnock’s lack of care for his constituents is shameful, but it should come as no surprise to those paying attention. Since day one, Washington Warnock has put Joe Biden’s agenda ahead of Georgia and that is completely unacceptable.”
