ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released the following statement as Raphael Warnock continues to claim that he fights for Georgia.
The truth is that Warnock fights for himself and his own wallet. Warnock has taken every opportunity at his disposal to enrich himself since he got elected to the Senate.
- Raphael Warnock has doubled his income since he got elected to the U.S. Senate – in 2020, he criticized Kelly Loeffler for using “the people’s seat to enrich herself.”
- Raphael Warnock gets a $7,500-a-month housing stipend on top of his Senate salary – more than double his housing costs.
- Warnock got caught using his campaign account to pay for personal legal expenses and for childcare costs.
- Warnock’s church tried to evict poor Georgians during the Covid pandemic while he criticized his opponent for not supporting an eviction moratorium.
Herschel Walker, on the other hand, offered to pay off the unpaid rent of residents of the housing complex that Raphael Warnock has tried to evict. Herschel Walker will be a Senator for the people of Georgia.
“Raphael Warnock went to Washington and became part of Washington,” said campaign spokesman Will Kiley. “Raphael Warnock has left the people of Georgia behind. Warnock has spent every day enriching himself and using his campaign account as a piggy bank. Herschel Walker will fight for Georgia and only Georgia.”
