ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released the following statement on the one-year anniversary of Joe Biden and Raphael Warnock’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. The plan put in place by Washington Democrats has led to Taliban rule, the collapse of the Afghan government, chaos in the streets of Kabul, hundreds of Americans left behind, restrictions on civil liberties and freedoms, and the death of thirteen American soldiers.
“Raphael Warnock is so focused on appeasing Joe Biden that he refuses to hold the Administration accountable for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan,” said spokesperson Mallory Blount. “While we will always mourn the loss of thirteen American heroes, we must remember the disastrous policy decisions that led to their death. While the American people are still waiting for answers, Warnock has completely failed his oversight duties and let the Administration repeatedly lie about the number of Americans they left behind. Georgia’s military, veterans, and their loved ones deserve better than Raphael Warnock.”
