ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released the following statement after it was revealed that the 87,000 new IRS agents Raphael Warnock voted to fund with taxpayer dollars would likely join and pay dues to the IRS’ public sector union, the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU).

So far this cycle, NTEU has given 100% of its PAC funding to Democrats, including the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC). In addition, NTEU has given nearly all of its federal candidate spending to Democrats, including $5,000 to Warnock’s campaign.

“Raphael Warnock has done more for himself than the people of Georgia,” said spokesperson Mallory Blount. “Not only will Warnock’s vote for new IRS agents increase audits on Georgia families, but they will also likely end up financially benefitting his campaign. Washington Warnock is in it for himself and his voting record makes that clear. Raphael Warnock does not vote for the people of Georgia, he votes for whatever benefits him politically.”
