Herschel Walker Supports Law Enforcement, Warnock Stays Silent

ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel outlined Herschel’s compelling record of supporting law enforcement for decades, his plan to continue backing them in the Senate, and Raphael Warnock’s continuous record of neglecting and disparaging our brave men and women in blue who fight every day to protect us.

“Herschel Walker partnered with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office for over 15 years while I was sheriff,” said retired Sheriff Neil Warren. “He led trainings on leadership, advocated for mental health, encouraged countless officers, and was always there to lend a hand whenever we needed him. I was proud to name him as an honorary deputy sheriff due to his tireless efforts in support of law enforcement. Now more than ever, officers across Georgia need a senator who will have their backs, no matter what. The men and women in law enforcement put their lives on the line every day to serve our citizens, but time and time again, Senator Warnock has continued to let us down.”

“Over the past three years, our nation has not only witnessed skyrocketing crime rates, but also increased attacks and violcence against our brave men and women in blue,” said campaign spokeswoman Mallory Blount. “Unlike Senator Warnock, Herschel Walker believes there is a difference between saying you support law enforcement and actually taking actions to back the blue. In the past, Senator Warnock has gone so far to refer to some law enforcement officers as ‘gangsters and thugs,’ which begs the question: does he still stand by this statement?”
