ATLANTA – Today, Herschel Walker called on Raphael Warnock to reject the Atlanta Press Club debate after revelations of remarkable bias came to light. The leadership of the Atlanta Press Club has contributed a combined total of $10,000 to Democrats including Raphael Warnock and Joe Biden.
“Herschel has accepted an impartial statewide debate that’s for the people, not the partisan, elite Atlanta Press Club, which we now know is actually the Warnock-Biden Press Club,” said campaign manager Scott Paradise. “No wonder voters don’t trust politicians and their media friends. We’re not going to be bullied by their thinly veiled threat of an empty podium – because it’s not a podium, it’s a campaign prop. So we’re leaving the elite media behind and rejecting the partisan Press Club debate. And so should Senator Warnock. Instead, we have accepted a fair debate for the people. We hope Senator Warnock will do the right thing and join Herschel.”
“Herschel Walker is exactly right to reject the Atlanta Press Club debate proposal as many of its leadership donated to Democrats including radical left Senator Warnock,” said former Speaker Newt Gingrich. “They are a one-sided, biased organization. Walker should continue to insist on open fair debates in front of Georgians. Let Warnock hide behind his liberal media supporters.”
