Georgia Farmers Can’t Afford Warnock

ATLANTA – Today, Team Herschel released the following statement highlighting Raphael Warnock’s failure to fight for the farmers of Georiga.

Since the start of 2022, fertilizer prices are up approximately 30%, following an 80% increase in prices in 2021. In January of 2021, the average price of gas in Georgia was around $2.23 for regular and an average of around $2.642 for diesel. As of today, the average price has skyrocketed over 80% to an average of $4.036 for regular and over 97% for diesel at an average of $5.212. These rising costs are forcing Georgia’s farmers to cut back and have a serious negative impact on family farms across the Peach State.

“Georgia’s farmers have been fighting an uphill battle for too long, and Raphael Warnock has done nothing to help them,” said spokesperson Mallory Blount. “Instead of working to lower fertilizer prices and input costs, Washington Warnock has supported Joe Biden’s reckless and inflation-inducing spending at every turn. Despite being a member of the Agriculture Committee, Warnock has done more for Joe Biden than for Georgia’s farmers. Agriculture is the number one industry in Georgia but that doesn’t seem to matter to Raphael Warnock.”
